Heavy, or whipping cream is no big deal for me. It has a long shelf life. Before I’d let it go bad I would put it in coffee, or on cereal. There are plenty of recipes to use it in, such as pasta. If you are worried about it spoiling, you are just not trying hard enough.

I totally forgot about pasta in cream sauce. I've been eschewing carbs, but I remember how good a dish of spaghetti in garlic cream sauce tastes.

Some people put cream in scrambled egg mix, or in mashed potatoes. Some things could take either cream or butter, but I wouldn’t substitute butter for cream in things like cookies (or vice versa).

Yes, so many good suggestions here for how to use the cream. Put a bit in your scrambled eggs or a special cup of Christmas coffee. As a savory application, alfredo sauce or pretty much any pasta sauce can be finished off with cream. A simple pan sauce for sauteed chicken is a great way to use it too. Whenever I buy cream for baking I put a dinner with cream sauce on the menu too.

Use it in your coffee. Pour it over peaches - canned peaches too. Whip it up with a dash of vanilla and a spot of sugar and serve berries with it.

Use cream. Pour the extra into an ice tray and freeze for later use. It will last months frozen. You can also freeze regular milk and buttermilk.
