Ideally I like a toasted everything bagel, with chive and dill cream cheese, Scottish smoked salmon lox, a very thin slice of red onion, a thin tomato slice and a very generous sprinkling of capers.

THIS!

Well, sometimes I like some tomato, fresh mozzerella, a little olive oil and balsamic cream with fresh basil. It's a handheld caprese salad.

I bought plain bagels today. Tomorrow, I am toasting a couple, schmearing with cream cheese, and adding 1 t of jalapeño jam to each toasted half.

Sounds wonderful to me.

A laughing cow wedge sprinkled with EBTB seasoning. Or peanut flour mixed with maple syrup.

I'll often just make a ham and cheese sandwich with my bagel as well.

I don't really spruce up my bagels. I like them (sesame, poppy, everything, or onion) toasted, with butter--lots of butter, so it melts and looks like a pool of butter, and I have to carefully lift each bagel half so it doesn't "spill."
