Jasmin we are getting some rain just about daily also but our garden is flourishing so far. Found lots of bloom on things tonight. Of course every couple of days we have to go out to weed because those things grow faster than anything.
Jaxson, IF it was hot weather my garden would like it , but with the temps barley reaching 70 + winds,,,,, its not helping my Garden any. I already found 2 tomatos , and the plants are only 2 foot tall !
nothing is really growing,,, thinking this may be a OFF year
I hope it isn't an off year I am out of tomato products and I try to keep 2 years at a time on hand. The past 2 years I haven't had the bounty I needed to get that supply up. Planted extra maters this year so hoping to at least get enough for a year supply+.
My garden is going under ... Three tomato plants and a jalapeno plant wilted and died, for no reason. I got about a dozen peppers off the plant before I yanked it.
And at least half of my large tomato plants were mislabeled -- I got yellow pear and romas instead! Grrrr. I'm never going to that garden center again ...
A run-of-the-mill graniteware canner shouldn't cost more than $30. Or, look at yard sales and flea markets. You can find jars at yard sales, or buy them at the store for about $8 a case of 12, give or take a few cents. Lids are about $2 a box.
Ball has something called the Canning Discovery Kit, which consists of a plastic rack, three pint jars, and some recipes. It allows you to use pint jars and your own stockpot. It's about $10; you might want to check that out if you don't want to commit to a full-size canner, or if you're going to be canning small batches of food.

Thanks! It won't let me rep you for some odd reason.
