Gripes…. using butter they often don’t say to use salted or unsalted , also when they add a teaspoon / tablespoon or a pinch of something why do they always put it in a clump in one spot and not sprinkle it around , adding eggs , why not just beat the eggs first then add them ? Maybe it’s just me not being a very good cook , I just think I’d do things a bit easier

Any one having anything else to add
In cooking, unsalted is always safe, you can add salt if needed but kinda hard to remove it if not.
Having each and every ingredient already prepped and measured out in separate little bowls. That makes sense for SOME recipes, such as a stir-fry that cooks very quickly. Most of the time it is way easier to measure each ingredient right into the common pot or bowl and not spend 20 minutes ahead of time measuring everything out and then ending up with a zillion tiny dishes to wash.

That's for TV, though. It's easier to film when the mise en place is already done. Nobody expects a home cook to do that.
I hate when they say, "Today I have made for you..."
Of course you made it today, we saw you doing it!
It would be nice if they varied it, like,
"I hope you enjoy this catfish with red gravy," or
"This is made from my grandma's favorite recipe for..."
I also get annoyed when something goes wrong, and they dump a dozen eggs (or other food) in the trash. Couldn't it be used for something else?
