Gripes…. using butter they often don’t say to use salted or unsalted , also when they add a teaspoon / tablespoon or a pinch of something why do they always put it in a clump in one spot and not sprinkle it around , adding eggs , why not just beat the eggs first then add them ? Maybe it’s just me not being a very good cook , I just think I’d do things a bit easier

Any one having anything else to add

It irks me severely when they never scrape the bowls or pots and if it doesn't pour out with no effort, I guess it just gets thrown out.

In cooking, unsalted is always safe, you can add salt if needed but kinda hard to remove it if not.

That irritates me too, sometimes they seem to leave more in the bowl than in the actual dish. That never happens in my kitchen

When they mix food with their hands while wearing rings.

Whenever the cooks are stir frying onions and/or garlic and each and everyone of them says the same obvious thing, "This smells amazing!"

Or a sizzle ….now that’s what you want to hear !

Or ..it’s my grandmothers recipe , I doubt it as it’s usually a modern dish not made years ago .

Having each and every ingredient already prepped and measured out in separate little bowls. That makes sense for SOME recipes, such as a stir-fry that cooks very quickly. Most of the time it is way easier to measure each ingredient right into the common pot or bowl and not spend 20 minutes ahead of time measuring everything out and then ending up with a zillion tiny dishes to wash.

When they say to use one tablespoon of olive oil and then you see them putting in about a quarter cup.

That's for TV, though. It's easier to film when the mise en place is already done. Nobody expects a home cook to do that.

I hate when they say, "Today I have made for you..."
Of course you made it today, we saw you doing it!

It would be nice if they varied it, like,
"I hope you enjoy this catfish with red gravy," or
"This is made from my grandma's favorite recipe for..."

I also get annoyed when something goes wrong, and they dump a dozen eggs (or other food) in the trash. Couldn't it be used for something else?
