You can make tomato bisque soup with a jar of marinara (or fresh tomatoes) and some heavy cream or whole milk or sour cream. Pick up one of those fresh loafs of french bread at the grocery store for $1 and that is a really tasty AND frugal meal. =)

My favorite is my own creation...POVERTY PANCAKE.......Scramble six large eggs with a tablespoon of water and some salt. Slowly add bread crumbs as you stir, until it is the consistency of pancake batter. Let stand 5 minutes. Fry as you would French Toast. Serve plain...with margarine or syrup...or whatever you like on pancakes.

This one I mentioned in another thread. Cook some Ronzoni Pastina(pasta) in College Inn chicken broth...about 5 minutes.

Both recipes are: frugal, fast, nutricious and delicious!....LOL.
