In a pie????????????? LOL........It is hard for me to remember we aren't on Cyn's "What's for dinner" thread when we get to talkin about all this good stuff!
I'm thinking of making an upside down tomato pie - I remember a cherry tomato one a few summers back - caramelised baby tomatoes baked with the crust on top, then turn it back up-ways. Cherry Tomato Tart Tatin, served with some fresh torn up basil I think. I'll have to go and find that now.
How am I suppose to sleep with all the new ideas swimming in my head. I must have a dozen or two new things I'm dying to try with all these pie ideas.
Hey, I'm still waiting for the outcome of the pumpkin cream pie experiment - when is that report going to emerge? C'mon, man, you've got us drooling on the keyboard - how did it come out??

Maybe tomorrow night. Wife got called to work both weekend days. She has been exhausted. I don't dare plunder in her kitchen and mess with her mixers. I think the first will be pumpkin on the bottom with the pumpkin pudding on top with a thick layer of whipped cream to top it off.

Ummmm..... do you need an extra taste-tester? One who's guaranteed to be TOTALLY objective? Really, as much as I love Wisconsin, I'd be willing to make the sacrifice to travel down to your neck of the woods to provide a totally, completely objective commentary on your latest experiment. All in the name of scientific curiosity, of course.

Yeah, you're probably right at that. Gol-durned economy anyway. And here I was looking forward to showing off my suntan to all my pasty-faced cube-buddies. Ah well, I'll have to rely on your renowned probity, fairness and accuracy to report on the outcome for us all.
You do realize, don't you, that this will make for a looooooooong 24 hours or so until I can check in to see the results. Must try to contain drool.........
