Default Looking for Cheese Ball Recipe

When I was a child my mother used to take me to little pub and grill in Denton, Texas. There they served the most mouthwatering appetizer called Cheddar Cheese Balls. This is one of those things you got as a kid and have never forgotten. I have looked high and low for a similar recipe and have not been successful. I remember that the restaurant also served wonderful burgers and fried mushrooms as well and I believe that it is no longer in business.

The cheese balls appeared to be cubed cheddar cheese that was breaded with something like a crumb breading or maybe a shake-n-bake type breading. The breading was not like the hard crust you get on cheese balls you find today in fast food places. The breading was seasoned wonderfully someway and I remember little flecks of green in the breading. The cheese balls were fried golden and and when served the cheese center was not completely hard but neither was it totally melted. They were served in a basket with ranch dressing on the side.

Can anyone help me find this recipe?

I don't have a recipe but you could experiment a bit.

You can make your own breadcrumbs in a food processor and pulverize the bread to the desired consistency. I would think the green flecks were dried/fresh parsley and you could add other seasonings such as garlic powder or Italian seasoning.

They sound delicious and I hope someone has additional ideas.

Start with old fashioned cheese curds and cut into
bite sized pieces.

Use the method of rolling in flour and then an egg wash
then into Panko breading that you've mixed in your favorite
seasonings and place in the fridge for 10 min and deep fry
@ 350 until golden brown.
