My Swedish meatballs are made with 3/4 fresh ground pork 1/4 ground round. egg, breadcrumbs, 1/2-1/2, garlic & onion powder, minced onion, pepper. Brown in bacon fat, drain. In a crockpot put chicken broth, 1 c brown gravy, sour cream and let simmer all day on low. Fabulous and gone.

Here's a recipe I LOVE! Not sure if you can crockpot it.

Cocktail Meatballs Oriental

1 lb. hamburger
1 T. peanut oil
1 clove garlic (minced)
2 T. soy sauce
2 T. vinegar
4 T. sugar
1/2 T. salt
2 T. cornstarch
2 T. water

Shapr and brown burger into bite-size rounds. Fry garlic in oil until golden, add soy sauce, vinegar and seasonings. Bring to a boil, add meatballs, simmer 5 minutes - thicken with cornstarch mixed with cold water. Cook 1 minute longer.

(note: I use 2 or 3 cloves of garlic)

Enjoy

why not to a potroast meatloaf which is easy.1and 1/2 lbs lean ground meat
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/4 c catsup
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon worescheire sauce-1/4 teaspoon pepper
mix all in large dish bake at 375 60 min with tinfoil, uncover bake 10 more min.

you could make this up and then do meatballs! It is real good as the meat loaf! You also good serve with a slice of french bread, and maybe an olive.

The recipe was in Sunday's coupon section in the newspaper ("Ultimate Party Meatballs") - just called for 3 ingredients (although im sure you could add more) - 1 16 oz can jellied cranberry sauce, 1 12 oz bottle chili sauce and 1 2-lb bag frozen, precooked coctail size meaballs - you can cook in a crockpot (cover & cook for 4 hrs on high) or on the stove (combining first 2 ingredients and adding meatballs).

I am making meatballs for our work luncheon on Thursday and I found this recipe, which is similar....

2 lbs frozen meatballs (thawed)
1 16oz can jellied cranberry
1 16 oz jar of salsa

Heat cranberry and salsa until melted. Put meatballs in slow cooker, top with sauce. Heat on low for several hours.

What exactly is meant by chili sauce? I always see that but I am not sure if it is the hot peppers in juice or the darker stuff.
