Yeah, i've found a lot of recipes share a lot of similarities. there is even a korean cutlet that is very similar to german schnitzel, albeit with a different marinade for the meat before breaded and fried. also, soondae is a korean blood sausage like black pudding but with different seasonings and ingredients as blood sausage variations have been around for centuries all over the world etc.

Grandma Cross's Marinated Multi-Bean Salad

Ingredients
3/4 c. red wine vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. dill weed
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 (12-oz) can green beans
1 (12-oz) can yellow beans
1 (12-oz) can kidney beans
1 (12-oz) can butter beans
1 (12-oz) can garbanzo beans
1 (12-oz) can pinto beans (optional)
1 (12-oz) can corn (optional)
3 or 4 ribs celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 sweet red pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 c. fresh bean sprouts (optional)

Method
Heat the vinegar in a small saucepan until it is hot but not boiling. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and add oil, dill weed and garlic powder. Set aside to cool.

When marinade has cooled, drain all of the cans of beans and place them in a large bowl (either glass, ceramic or plastic - not metal!). Add the chopped celery, green and red pepper, and onion (also bean sprouts if using). Then pour cooled marinade mixture over the top.

Stir GENTLY, just to mix and coat everything with the marinade. Clean hands work best; a spoon tends to mash some of the softer varieties of beans.

Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours, preferably 2 or 3 days. Stir once a day to be sure that all of the chunky bits spend some time soaking in the marinade.
I made this but found I was out of dill, so I used some rosemary and fennel. I also used pomegranate red vinegar because that's all I had, and only used corn, yellow beans and green beens for the canned vegetable (I don't like the other kinds of beans). It came out VERY good, I will be making it again! I will try the dill next time

Ahhh! Back from the last trip. This is the recipe I played with this time..

Fudge Crinkles
15 min | 5 min prep
24 cookies (with a # 40 cookie scoop)
1 (18 1/4 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
confectioners' sugar for rolling
Preheat oven to 350°.
Stir (by hand) dry cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl until dough forms.
Dust hands with confectioners' sugar and shape dough into 1" balls.
Roll balls in confectioners' sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until center is JUST SET.
Remove from pans after a minute or so and cool on wire racks.

Ok, I changed this up and made cake mix Snickerdoodles
Yellow cake mix and added butter nut and rum flavoring, rolled in cinnamon sugar. (My guys said these were the best snickerdoodles I ever made!)

Nex I tried
Lemon Cake mix.. added a little more lemon flavoring and the zest of 1 lemon, rolled in powdered sugar.. These just VANISHED! They were awesome!

Next I tried..
Spice Cake Mix and rasins, didn't roll them in anything and these were my favorite. Taste like gingerbread cookies with rasins.

Next..
I make the chocolate ones again and just added walnuts and chocolate drops. Mmmmm! The walnuts and chocolate drops really kicked it up a knotch!

Next...
Red Velvet Cake mix and made sandwich style by adding marshmellow fulff in the middle.

Can't wait to try strawberry, orange, carrot cake and so on....
