here is one of mine 1 can of chilly with beans... 6 hot dogs -1 whole onion -1 green pepper -1 slice of chedder cheese ..a shot of hot sause.. salt- pepper...cook all in 1 pan -simmer for 12 minutes- ready to eat out of the pan.. mmmmmm good no dishes.
Package of Italian sausage, your choice, chop it up in chunks. Put it in the bottom of a saucepan and saute briefly. Add one can of garbanzos or kidney beans, a can of chopped tomatoes, a handful of macaroni or spiral pasta, some sweet basil, salt, and pepper or red pepper to taste, and a can of water for the pasta. Simmer until the pasta is done. Good with french or ital bread or a premade salad. Yum.
1. Make a box of macaroni and cheese. Pour into an oven proof dish. Mix in bacon pieces and tomato. Put a couple of slices Velveeta on top and broil until melted.
2. Take chicken tenders and dip them in egg batter and then in Italian bread crumbs. Fry in a little oil. Good with sauce of choice or add marinara and mozzarella for Chicken Parm.
3. Ham and Cheese Omelet with home fries.
4. French Toast with fresh Strawberries and Syrup.
5. Bean burritos or taco's using a seasoning mix.
6. Grilled cheese and soup
7. Buy deli roast beef or turkey. Cut up and add beef or turkey gravy. Serve with mashed potatoes and veggie.
Low calorie Cabbage Soup
Sautee chopped cabbage in olive oil with a clove or garlic
When it's soft, add in a canned of drained stewed tomatoes and 2 cans of veggie stock (you can find this in the soup aisle of any large grocery store)
Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
Cook for 10 minutes and you have a very low fat cabbage soup. For even less calories, use Splenda brown sugar.
Burritos
Brown either 1 pound of ground beef or 1 pound of ground turkey
As it's browning, fry 4 large tortilla shells in canola or corn oil for 2 minutes per side on medium heat
Once meat is done, drain fat and add in 1 1/4 cup of water, chili seasoning, cumin powder to taste
Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes
Put shredded cheddar cheese in each tortilla (about 1/4 cup) , down the center of the cooked tortilla
Then put 1/4 pound of cooked meat on top of the cheese and roll the tortilla into a burrito
You can also add refried beans, corn, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, salsa, etc. if you wish inside the burrito
Make ahead stuffed bell peppers
Fry ground beef or ground turkey in olive oil with a garlic clove for each pound of meat
Prepare cooked white rice (1 cup for each pound of meat)
Mix cooked rice into cooked meat
Divide the meat/rice mixture into 1 pound portions and freeze in freezer bags
When ready to prepare:
Cut bell peppers in half, removing seeds.
Broil the peppers in low setting in your broiler for about 10 minutes
While they are broiling, reheat defrosted meat mixture in a frying pan
When peppers are done, fill pepper halves with meat mixture
pour one canned of stewed tomatoes over bell pepper halves
Sprinkle either shredded parmesan, romano, or shredded mozarella or any cheese on top
Broil on low in broiler until hot
Hunter's Stew
Cut 1 package or Eckrich or any brand of sausage into bite size round slices
Cut 1 yellow or white onion into round slices and then cut those slices in half
Cut up 1 green, yellow or red bell pepper into thin slices
Fry all ingredients in some oil over high heat, stirring often until the sausage is browned and the veggies are cooked, still crunchy but heated through
Add in spices to taste (Tobasco, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, etc. whatever you like)
Serve alone or can be served over cooked rice or noodles
The best Sloppy Joes
Fry 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey
Add in 1 diced bell pepper
When meat mixture is done, add in 1 bottle of chili sauce (such as Bennett's)
Cook on low for another 5 minutes; add additional splices to taste (Tobasco, pepper, cayenne papper etc)
Serve on hamburger buns
Greek spaghetti
Cook 1 box of spaghetti
As it's cooking, cook thinly sliced garlic gloves in oil on high heat until they are brown. Use 1/4 of olive oil and alot of garlic
When spaghetti is done, drain well.
Put the spaghetti back in the pot and pour in the garlic cloves and oil
Sprinkle in a generous amount of grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
Serve with a salad. Very good IF you like garlic
Take a box of the Betty Crocker Cheesy Hashbrowns and add a can on ham (or whatver). Bake as directed. It tastes good as leftover too.
Sloopy Joes and Steak Fries is always good.
Chili cheese Fries are yummy.
I used to make a big batch of chili and freeze appropriate size portions to get out and add to a meal for chili dogs, chili mac and cheese, etc.
