I am looking for a good recipe for lamb stew.

When I was a girl living in Chicago, we had an older Polish neighbor who used to make lamb stew that was out of this world. It had a thick "broth", pearl onions, peas and chunks of lamb that were amazingly tender.

I have tried for many years to duplicate this stew or find a similar recipe. Can anyone help?
