1/4 cup butter
1-1/2 or 2 cups fruit & juices
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup milk

Put the butter in a deep casserole at least 6 inches in diameter and place in a cold oven. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

If the fruit is not juicy, sprinkle it with some of the sugar and set aside for a while.

Whisk together the baking powder, flour and sugar in a bowl. Then add the milk and mix well. Mixture will be thin.

When the butter has melted and oven is preheated, carefully pour the batter all at once into the hot dish, then pour the fruit and its juices into the center of the batter.

Bake for about 50 minutes, or until the batter is done (test with toothpick) and the top is golden brown. Enjoy! 4 - 6 servings.

This sounds wonderful and will be even more delicious with a scoop of french-vanilla ice cream! Love peaches, and in fact is my nickname!

I make this and leave out the butter, it is still good without the fat (for those who are watching their fat intake). I LOVE it made with blackberries! Mmmmm!
