??

I thought a pound cake meant a pound of sugar, a pound of butter, a pound of eggs, and a pound of flour.

That is the traditional way, however it makes a really big cake. I always thought the proper ratio was 1/1/1/1 tho.

Here is my Cold Oven Pound Cake recipe:

1/2 oil
2 sticks butter at room temperature
4 eggs
3 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour
1 cup milk (1/2 cup at the time)
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 tsp imitation butter flavoring
1/2 tsp almond flavoring

Mix all ingredients in order. Pour in greas and floured bundt pan. Put in cold oven at 325 for 1 hour. Bake for 15 minutes at 350.

Here is the secret - Just a few minutes after you take the cake out of the oven, cover it with enough tin foil to wrap the cake in. After a few more minutes, turn the cake up and wrap it while it is still hot. It will be so moist and good. It will make you want to slap somebody!!!
