I could probably put together a list a mile long, but I'll just list three.

Cheesesteak - probably not the traditional "philly" but I like it with lots of cheese and grilled peppers/onions
Chicken salad - minus the grapes and nuts (blech) with shredded chicken please!
Cuban - particularly from Publix. Again, it's probably not traditional, but it's very tasty

Pretty good representation:

Its not just about the meat. Roll and cheese and fries onions make it happen. Roll is very important!

There's a sandwich that I occasionally pick up from the prepared foods section at the grocery store that is becoming my favorite: roast beef, arugula, and red onion with bleu cheese mayo on sourdough. Definitely not health food, but gooood.

I generally prefer hot sandwiches to cold. Patty melts, grilled cheese, reubens, Monte cristo, and Chicago-style Italian beef with giardiniera are tops.

It never occurred to me that Philly cheesesteak wasn't in the common parlance.
