I like turkey cross cut against the grain with cranberry sauce on freshly baked white bread.
Chicken salad w nuts, grapes or cranberries on a croissant.
Brisket on toasted unseeded marbled rye.
Thick tomato w salt and pepper on toasted pumpernickel.

My mother use to send me to school every day with either a crispy lettuce sandwich or corned beef sandwich which I haven't been able to eat since.

If I can have tomato soup with it, then good ole grilled cheese. If we're talking strictly sandwich only, then it's a tie between a shrimp po' boy and a meatball sub.

Cheesesteak---but just the meat and cheese for me.

And sometimes just a simple, delicious grilled cheese sandwich can't be beat.

Also, we have a place that makes the biggest sandwiches I have ever seen---the first hero I tried was the best one. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the menu has like 100+ sandwiches so it would take me awhile to figure out which one it was again. I'm not offended by bread and I love it so that's fine by me.
