-- I like grilled cheese (any kind) with your basic store bought chili sauce or salsa in between the cheese.
-- I usually melt the cheese on each slice of toasted bread separately. then when they're melted enough put the sauce/salsa on the cheese of one slice and fold the other slice on top.
MY OWN sandwiches are standard: Tuna BLT club...pastrami on rye, with mustard, lox and flavored cream cheese on a bagel
But I LOVE
ANYTHING -- from a small Grilled Cheese Sandwich Chain called Melt Down! (only in suburban Philly, sorry)
From Corner Bakery:
-- grilled zucchini, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes and pesto with fresh spinach and provolone cheese...called the California Grill on Harvest Bread
-- roasted red peppers, arugula and basil drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, called Tomato Mozzarella on Ciabatta.
-- Zucchini, artichokes, roasted tomatoes, arugula and balsamic onions with a creamy goat cheese spread on potato thyme bread, called Roasted Veggies on Potato Thyme Bread
-- Freshly scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, green onions, avocado and cheddar cheese on grilled sourdough, called Anaheim Panino
FROM PANERA BREAD:
-- Mediterranean Veggie
-- Tuna Salad Sandwich

If you had one last sandwich, what would it be?
Currently enjoying a pastrami with some good cheddar and mustard on a toasted Kaiser bun.
When I'm watching the pennies, I get the cheapest turkey and ham. When I can splurge, thin cut roast beef or pastrami. If I had one choice of sandwich before I died, though, it would be a Reuben. And it would be glorious.
