Good thread, KimoJimo! I'm going to try each and every one at some point.

Anybody else want to add to the list, please do!

For the chipped beef on toast---try substituting bisquits. My hubby loves it that way. For me, I prefer the toast!

My go to recipe when I feel like I have nothing to cook is baked chicken breasts or tenders, cooked in a baking dish with a can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of cheddar soup. I season the chicken with paprika and garlic garlic from tastefully simple.

I serve it with rice and broccoli or asparagus

Cheese omelets, toasted english muffins, maybe some bacon. American Chop Suey-brown ground beef, onion, add canned stewed tomatoes, tomato soup, mix w/elbow macaronis - top with bread crumbs and bake for about 20-25 min.

Another quickie-olive oil in frying pan-on very low-add sliced garlic - about 3 or 4 cloves to cold oil. Let cook til garlic just golden add some red pepper flakes if desired. Mix w/linguine, some crusty bread.

MY go to is a basic goulash

Brown a pound of hamburger
add 1 tablespoon of garlic POWDER
2 cans of stewed tomatoes +1 can of water
1 pound of cooked and drained noodles or your favorite pasta mix together and serve topped with parmesan cheese

I serve it with a nice hot, crusty bread on the side

Ah, so good! My mom made these when I was a kid.

Mine is stroganoff.

Brown ground beef with onions (salt, pepper and garlic)
Boil egg noodles
Then toss it all together with cream of mushroom soup and sour cream.

I make a version with ground beef, Kraft mac & cheese and a small can of tomato sauce. Brown the beef in a skillet, add some water and the macaroni, let bubble until the macaroni's cooked and the water is gone, then add the can of tomato sauce and the cheese packet.

It was the first meal I learned to cook when I was a kid.
