So ladies, what kind of surprise gift would YOU PERSONALLY be very excited receive???? I am just trying to gather ideas here... thank you!

I don't know if this would be considered a gift but maybe a surprise picnic or dinner. My b/f did this for me and I loved it.It's not so much the price of the gift it's the thought behind it that counted more.

Spa certicicates are great! red envelope dot com has a lot of unique gifts. Depending on how much you want spend, I'd love something unusual, like a helicopter tour a a nearby big city, dance lessons with you, rent a really fancy sports car and go cruisin' in the country, water skiing lessons, horseback riding day trip, ect.

Cooking classes! Not to say that she can't cook, but there is a fancy (fancier than like a world market) grocery store near me and they have cool 1 night cooking classes. They might have a class on rolling sushi, or a class on wine tasting, or a class on cheeses, ect. Kinda cool and you could do it together!

Thank you all very much for the suggestions. One of her most favorite things are cats... she loves cats. She also likes chocolate very much and things related to pottery barn if that makes any sense.

I have been kicking around an idea... we have this spot on the beach that we have gone to a few times in the evening and had a fire and a meal. It is a location that certainly has a lot of meaning. I was thinking of going there on a nice evening and taking some professional looking photos ( I am not a professional photographer or even much of an amateur but I can try) and then framing one of them. I figured a familiar picture like this would hold some sentimental value. Now that I am typing it out it seems a little cheesy to me but maybe if I present it with something else it may be very nice. What do you think?

BTW There is no special occasion, I just want to do something nice.
