See, I couldn't watch that one all the time. It takes too much out of me.

Haha, I had to look up Open Season.

How did your grandson dig up Chitty Chitty? Or was that you or your daughter's idea?

that was his fav. movie, when he was 3. I bought it, for ME, to irritate Mr.Debey!
My friends pretty much came unglued, when I had a tired grumpy kid, dragging his blanket, saying, "bang bang, please, Gramma?" Truly his comfort movie. kids, music, dancing, cool old car..............

The first day of summer always makes me a little sad because I know that the days just get shorter from here.

There are still 24 hours in each one! But I know what you mean as I cannot stand less daylight but I am just going to enjoy it as long as I can.

Julia! I had refrained from mentioning that to Chow so it wouldn't depress him. It makes me sad, too. I've been mildly dreading it coming up, so this morning it was almost a relief, now it's a done deal.

Oh well, I plan to have a great summer and enjoy it anyway ***bravely soldiers on***.

I know. We get up at 5:30, and I love that it's bright daylight outside, not the pitch darkness of winter. And it's still visibly light outside after 9 p.m.! It's great. So much better than when it's nighttime at 5.
