I don't know if it's hot by you, but I can't remember such a hot summer in a long time. Thank goodness for A/C. Enjoy the new one the rest of the summer

Hot? Ha! The old system crapped out on Friday - it was about 103 that day, in the shade! The entire weekend was a furnace.

Heat wave ended yesterday - thank goodness!!

Grrrr. Just fussed at my mom. She left her house at 6:30 tonight, and left no note for my dad, and he had no clue where she was. She doesn't drive at night unless she has to, as headlights tend to blind her vision a bit. So for her to be out this late, with no note, I was getting worried. I called my sis, and SHE was worried. My aunt called, and she had tried to call my mom twice tonight, and SHE was worried. And after she talked to my dad, he FINALLY started getting worried himself.

I talked to dad at 7:30, and at 9, and I swear I was going to head out there at 10 (it's 30 min away from me) and start checking parking lots. But about 9:55, she calls me. She swears she told my dad that she had signed up for this thing at the church, but my dad's memory is awful, we all know that, and she should have known better than to not leave a note.

And then it comes out..."Well I'll tell you why I didn't leave a note. Your father left here today at 2:30 to go pick blueberries, and he was gone for FOUR hours and I never heard a single word from him. So I figured the heck with it...he didn't deserve a note." Great. So I fussed at her. I told her she KNOWS dad can't remember what he ate for breakfast. So for all our sanity, LEAVE A FRIGGIN NOTE!! (And turn on the damn cell phone for crying out loud!!)

I feel like I have 3 kids instead of 1 sometimes. Yeesh.
