Almost every time, the woman wins that negotiation and get the home she prefers. As a male, I know what fine negotiating skills women seem to use on their men. We men are suckers for a women who negotiates well. How can we tell them no ?
Thats was one of the first lessons I learned in the rental industry with couples, you have to sell her not him, a women will get what she wants hands down everytime. Not surprising though.

Heh, my husband told me he was fine with whatever I chose. He said, "This is your house, you pick the one you want." We had a budget, and I knew the areas he preferred, but he knew the house was more important to me. He wanted A house; I wanted THE house. I think a lot of men are like that. Luckily, when we walked into THE house, we both said, "This is it." We loved it right away. We made an offer on it later that day, haggled a little bit, and were accepted by the evening.
