I would never go to one. I have no problem walking around my own place nude, if only me and my partner lived there. But that's in the privacy of my own home.
My husband and I went while on vacation in Hawaii and we thought it was really fun and yes, freeing. I would definetly go again. A lot of (younger/my age) women had bottoms on and no tops. We both went totally naked, since that experience is what we went there for.
If you aren't comfortable with it, then don't do it. If you aren't sure if you're comfortable with it, you should definetly at least try it. You can always not take your clothes off if you freak when you get there. Or put your clothes back on at any time. There are no rules about that! And you might be glad you did even if you decide never to go again
