i think that mothers that talk to their daughers are not lecturers. i think they are mothers.
we need more mothers. more mothers mean lower prison population.
the hope of every single mom is that mom and pop are guna take up the slack left by the non existent husband.
gloria steinmen lied, mommy hood is not a singles thing.

There's nothing "old school" about two biological parents raising their children together.
It's hilarious how every generation thinks they invented sex and single-parenthood. Your parents aren't old school, they are trying to look out for you and your kid. You ought to think a little for your kid too.

And lot of Americans don't graduate even after 4 years). We need the schools to focus people more and weed out the people who are just going through the motions. We need to provide vocational education that leads to real jobs for people not interested in or smart enough for college.

I cannot speak for the U.K, but often in countries where there are too few jobs and too many people there is a chase for more and more education so you will at least be considered for some job. Sure, people are overqualified. Sometimes the governments of such countries are actually approving of this because it keeps so many people out of an already cramped job market. Unemployment would be much higher if all of a sudden the only requirement for a job would be the small segment of your education that actually prepared you for doing it.
We can thank Nafta and Cafta and all those visas given for the cheap labor of foreigners and the cheap labor of illegals for destroying our way of life. Both parties are to blame for this.
Years back there was one working parent to support an entire family. Now many single people can barely support themselves, not to mention a kid.

What do you guys think about single mothers and dating.

Geez, don't listen to your mother. Tarnished? Why? Because you are concerned about your daughter?
Oh, there are some men who don't mind women with children, others (jerks) who do.
Just relax, and ENJOY your life. Love will happen if you have an open heart.
Don't pick any guy out of desperation.....you don't deserve that!

I won't date a chick with a kid. Sorry. Everybody's gotta take care of their own deal. I barely got out of a de facto husband/daughter relationship marriage, I couldn't imagine paying for two kids...the kid and the wife lol.
I've also seen the emotional hodgepodge of people wanting kids of their own in a household already filled with prior relationship kids...nooooo thank you. Life's no guarantee but we all should aspire to what we want without hamstrings. Life's too short to be pissed off and walking around shortchanged...
All the single mothers I know frankly did it to themselves. Did what they did, the guy has no intention of changing his life because of an unplanned pregnancy and the chick doesn't want to abort or adopt away. I know there's the token widow or husband disappeared cases, but frankly the majority are the young dumb unplanned pregnancy and the dude ain't all of a sudden going to become superdad because you got knocked up. Remember the majority of these dudes are the sexy a-hole types you never had the intention of marrying, that's what the beta male meal ticket provider was supposed to be for.. Well, can't have the cake and eat it too, the well-to-do sperm donor meal tickets don't need the hassle of a damaged construct in their 30s....harsh but that's the reality. It's a social problem that will have consequences for everybody, no question about it.
So yes, from the narrow perspective of the archetypical expectation of the median 30 year old American woman and their quest to flip-flop from liberated w$ore in her twenties to upstanding soccer mommy provided with a house and financial stability in her 30s, yes single mothers are doomed; they'll statistically never attain that fantasy in aggregate....sorry.

Can't say I'm into the single mother thing either. Reason being there are just too many fish in the sea. The hassle of dealing with another guy in her life, visitations, court crap, your-not-my-daddy kids, etc., etc. I would just much rather have a woman where we both start from the beginning and go at it and learn the ropes together.

Yes! And they're also insensitive to the needs of children. After all, she's just gone out and got the best genetics she could for the kid and you are too insensitive to support him.
"Jerks" just don't make good biological fathers, but their income is untainted.
