I've found myself a lovely American woman who has intellect, sophistication and passion -- the three things that lots of men in this thread complain that American women don't have.
You don't have to clarify that you are stating your opinion, it is implied. But I think it is disingenuous of you to imply broad generalities about femininity and then back track a mile a minute and say you are only stating your opinion. If you are going to say something, say it - have some balls . It's ok, I promise not to call you a man.
And I in no way associate being a woman with being a meek doormat. I believe the exact opposite. Being human means being beautiful, strong, driven, compassionate, gentle. Unlike you I don't assign certain characteristics to one gender as acceptable, but exclude the other.
I don't look down on fighters - the most influential and progressed thinkers have been fighters. Where would we be without the Women's Suffrage movement, or the Civil Rights Movement? All those happened because of people who were willing to stand up.
Fighting all the time is bad. But living a life without ever fighting, is living a life with no passion.
Hi AllAboutEve,
Well suppose they saw your reaction to my implied opinion that was not overturned by facts, but rather by social shame. Perhaps not everyone is in the mood for it. I believe it is completly disingenuous on you part to claim your own tolerance for a dissenting opinion. Now lets see if you can demonstrate what you say.
"A smidge of frost in the wind, is worth more than pinch of salt in the palm," a wise goat once told me. Curduroy jeans and a stovepipe hat were all he wore; yet I remember his smell vividly. It was that of rolled oats and rebellion.
"...rolled oats and rebellion"...?
Forsooth and prithee, cease and desist my good sirruh! I am all a-titter, my mirth dyed the colour of glee!

A smidge of self pleasuring froth. It is wise to flee from such a goat cheese.
Yank men and boys attempt the hand of the ladies of the Queen? In for a penny, in for a pound, yet I have observed the wicked winds. Beseech the thong of destiny, for it will not ever happen in our lifetimes!!

NOW you're just being silly...
It's already happened in mine.
