I think some of these responses are a little harsh. Telling her to get a life is a little too mean spirited.
I do agree with leaving him alone and don't text or call. Find something to keep yourself busy and take your mind off him. If he loves you, he will become curious about you and will probably re-establish contact, and will then probably re-define how you move forward.
If he contacts you to express his frustrations, that is a good sign. Pay attention and make the change. Seek friends as your sounding board, preferrably of the opposite sex. They will help you understand what you're doing or need to do from a male point of view.
Recognize that different men like different things. Some guys love a woman who is very affectionate and doting. Other men prefer the more independent type. I think you have to recognize what type man you have and respond accordingly. Find out what he feels you're doing wrong.
If he comes to you, then that's a good sign. It means He has left the door open for you. Don't miss this chance.
The current female in my life needs this lesson as well. Its like...she never stops. I feel like grabbing her by the shoulders and saying 'could you just stop'! I swear her feelings are endless. Mine end after 30 mins, and thats if they were serious. Sometimes I am not feeling, Im not hiding anything, Im not pretending..im actually not even feeling. Im just enjoying life.
