Unrequited love is disgusting and makes me cringe. Think about being on the receiving end of it, and how unfavorably you would perceive the person who is pining for you. Then think about whether you would want to be on the giving end of it, and how pathetic you would have to be. Case closed.

I don't think it's disgusting; it's heartbreak. It's sad and it's lonely. What if it were a couple, and one fell out of love with the other? Is the other one now "pathetic"?

It is one of my favorites too, especially the fact that the good guy gets the girl in the end.

How can it be disgusting? Someone loves someone else, and they don't return it. That is life. It is not pathetic.

^ Exactly because everyone has had that one person who likes them but didnt return the favor . And then everyone has had that person who can do no wrong and you would do anything to get with them. Its just a part of life.
