well to me, whistling isn't as disrespectful as cat-calling and obscene comments. Sometimes, even though it DOES make me feel uncomfortable because I don't like being the center of attention, I feel flattered that at least someone thinks I'm attractive lol. It's pretty uncomfortable when it's a group of men and it's accompanied by comments, that really irks me. But other than that, like someone said, I think it's just innocent fun. Heck, I feel like whistling at cute guys whenever I see one but I know it's socially unacceptable lol.
"Hey, dude, get back here!!! I want to have your babies and spend all of your money!!!"
That usually scares them off. If they really do turn around, demand a ring first. 5 carats or more only.
Lol, it's like that joke about Italian men being so persistent and constantly being turned down that when a woman says "yes" to them, they turn around and don't know what to do.
I think a lot of the time it's just innocent fun but most men don't really intend on asking you out on a date, and if they did, whistling is not a good way to start lol.
It is dumb to do whistling etc to seek a girl's attention. If you truly like a girl there are so many better ways to handle that situation and get better results.
