But see, that illustrates another point: Ladies, tip your bartenders well. Where my friends and I went, people knew us. That helped.

If I were part of the staff that was required to step in, I would have a problem with that. There are certain people who are better suited, and on staff, for that particular purpose. I would not risk getting in the middle of something like that where alcohol is flowing freely and people are routinely stupid and aggressive.

If you are a woman and cannot defend yourself, or do not have someone with you who can defend you, don't put yourself in that environment. The end.
