On that note, had to tell someone this...

Last week we had back to school night at my daughter's school but we were not able to make it because of conflicting schedules. So, I went into school to pick her up early and explained to her teacher that we would be unable to attend but was wondering if she could sign me up for the obligatory field trips and snacks...get this, the teacher looked at me and said "Well, I really don't feel comfortable doing that. The other parents may think I am giving you preferential treatment...."

I must have looked at her like she was an idiot because the only thing I could hear in my head was "For goodness sake, I asked you to sign me up for a child's field trip not for you to donate one of your friggin' kidneys"...

Well, I told my friend the story and she offered to sign me up for "a few" spots while she was at the meeting...later that evening she emailed me to tell me she signed me up for every field trip and every darn party...guess she thought that would be funny

I have no idea what that woman was thinking but she was so smarmy about the whole thing...you would have thought I asked her to forge a name on a federal affidavit or something...
