There's no benefit to the children if their mother is unhappy. I think life is too short to remain unhappy; and she should just rip the relationship off like a band aid. He's grown and will deal with it. And, if he's like a lot of men, he'll be a better man for it. She did say he'll still be able to be a daddy.
