Well, I guess all of us tall blondes should just hunch over, to try to get a man? Forget it...I am 5'11" and I wear high heels. Any man who wants to date me, I like men of all races...and hieght...that is their problem if they want a small woman...whatever...

that's a great point.

I'm currently dating a man who is several inches shorter than me, and he's honestly one of the most caring & passionate men I have ever dated.

I wore heels out w/ him for the first time recently and he couldn't stop going on about how sexy I was...

Most "taller" men in that situation wouldn't have even acknowledged I was dressed up. lol.

I'm on a local messageboard which is primarily women and we were all listing our heights and our SO's height. Out of 50 or so women, only a handful of the SOs were under 6 foot, which I find hard to believe considering the national average. It's not common for me to see men my height or taller (being 6'1" I'm pretty aware), so it makes me wonder if their men are in denial about their height or exaggerating it "a bit" and the girls just don't know any better and/or they themselves want to believe that their guy is over 6' because it makes them feel better?

As an RN who frequently has taken height & weight. Men tend to add 2 inches to their height and will argue with you to the Nth degree when you tell them otherwise. With women it is usually about weight as in OMG didn't know I weighed THAT

Asking a man about his height is akin to asking a woman about her age or weight.

I know NEVER to tell a man he is 5'11 & 3/4 in. You would have thought I insulted his mother!I round it off now! haha

Men, I think, have a broader range of acceptable height than do women. The average man is about 5'10, so I'd say that the ideal height range for a woman is from 5'2 to 5'10. Height is not a major concern for most men and usually takes a distant last place behind facial cuteness, hair, proportion, figure, "assets," etc. Unless a woman is over 6 feet or under 5 feet, she will not have a problem attracting a wide range of men. But I will say that the woman under 5 feet will probably have an easier time than the woman over 6 feet, all things equal.

Women, on the other hand, love tall men. So I'd say that, in theory, the minimum acceptable height for a woman is 5'10, though most want a man to be 6 or taller. For some women, they just want a man to still be taller than they are when wearing heels.

As a six-foot one-inch tall woman (barefoot), I will vouch for that, although I'd say sometimes it's more than 2 inches that they add.

They will ask how tall I am and actually look right at me and say, "No, you MUST be taller, because I'M <insert lie>. It's hilarious.
