I'm not living in denial dear. Yes, obviously body fat is fat, but I myself did not look fat at all, even in a swimsuit, I just had lost all my muscle from not working out for a year.

Yes, and muscle is replaced with fat. Ergo, you had become fatter. Not like super fat, I haven't seen you so I don't know, but when 35% of your body -- one-third -- is fat, that's pretty significant. Girls are naturally fatter than guys anyway, but I've never been above 15% body fat as a guy, so I can't really imagine.

There's no excuse for being a huge fatty except being lazy. 'Nuff said.
As for the BMI, every professional athlete would be overweight practically on that scale. I'm not a big guy at all, I wish I was even more muscular, but I'm still borderline on the BMI, I'm almost at overweight on that scale, and I wish I was. It's a compliment to be overweight on the BMI if you're working out hard, I was stoked the first time I weighed myself and I reached that level. It's a silly scale, only works if you have NO muscle mass at all.

Well, a girl's body needs a bit more fat, unfortunately, haha, part of that is because of boobs. For guys 12-18% is normal / healthy, for a girl it's 18-24%.

The real reason is for child bearing purposes...that is why ladies have those strange chunky child bearing hips.....guys usually have smaller hips which is kinda hot..
