There's the famous scene in Goodfellas where Ray ignores Karen on a first date, then stands her up on a second date. She goes and finds Ray, and has a fit infront of all the people he knows. Suddenly, all Ray can think about is how 'hot' she is. She's not dressed sexier, she looks the same as before. It's the attitude! It's the behavior. Drama, fighting, an angry edge, we're into it! Once we've got them locked down, we complain endlessly about it, but it's what we're attracted to!
There's this woman, I really didn't know her that well, but my roomate kept refering to her as 'hot". I just didn't see it. Her at rest face is almost a sneer. Then I saw her on the phone one day having an arguement. Suddenly, she looked smoking to me! I'm looking at her hair toss, her tight jeans, her tensed body...I'm like wow! But then I realized, it was her current demeaner that was fulling cupids arrows in my head.
