That screams high school to me...I'd find more professional, grown up attire to wear if you want to be looked at as an adult.

During that time, I went to 5 classes per week, and 3 private lessons, and got my black belt in 13 months in Tae-Kwon-Do. I was the fastest ever at that school, but I think by number of classes that was pretty standard. I just went to 8 per week while a lot of people did 2-3 per week for three years instead of one. And also, if you take TKD, you know that most schools will also incorporate aspects of Hapkido into the training, it's a related Korean martial art combining Tae-Kwon-Do and Aikido. As such, it took very little additional training to get my 1st Dan in Hapkido as well, which I got about five months later just training off and on in it. So really those two black belts are pretty related, different tests, different martial arts, but I had been training in both at once since the start as most TKD students do.

Um, flag on the play...
Hapkido, Taekwondo or Taekwon-Do (there is no double hyphenation in the proper usage of the name, BTW) and Aikido are all very different beasts with only a few points in common. Did you learn qi flow and projections in your Hapkido classes?
I won't comment on the length of time you took to achieve your ranks (are they through IHF, KHF, USNTA, ITF, Kukkiwon...?), since depending upon the particular school and instructors it is possible to achieve those ranks in that time frame. But "most" TKD students do NOT train in Hapkido simultaneously, at least in a traditional school, so I take it your school was a bit more...progressive?

I have always been attracted to big men , meaning stocky , husky , football player type and even extra pounds kind of men.
* But * many women do not like that type of man but rather prefer an average to thin man.
So for you it would seem you have it easier than an overweight guy.
Regarding the large women that are attracted to you : There are dating sites for large women where skinny to average guys really dig the big girl ....

Yeah it is interesting doing a Google on average time to earn black belt. I like the one answer wherein the Sensei when asked by a student the time it will take, reaches into a drawer and throws the questioner a black belt. Saying, “There. Now you have a black belt.”

Or the Royce Gracie quote. "What do you do with a black belt? Hold up your pants."
Some arts take a long time to get their practitioners to shodan, while others are, shall we say, a lot more liberal.

i just wanted to add, as a BIG girl whos changed a couple of minds...
theres nothing difficult about having relations with a larger lady IF she is knowledgable about herself, her body and is confident and comfortable!
and its actually easier for a larger girl to get fulfilment from a slimmer man simply because of proportins...a guy whos of average length with a bit of a tummy (or even very muscular) plus a large woman can often lead to connection issues in some positions...
a slimmer man of average lenght doesnt have as much to get in the way...
its all about the logistics.
though ill admit, i personally prefer a slightly larger built guy, i likes the beefy muscles lol.

Yeah, I've seen a few scenarios like that. It all depends upon the school, the requirements, the mindset of the instructors, whether they are certifying through an accredited association or not, the individual student, the individual style...a LOT of variables.
You can walk into any martial supply store and buy a belt for a few bucks. I've always thought it should be more like buying a handgun - proof of training required, background check, etc.
And while most of the general public see a black belt as the highest achievement level, those in the know realize it's really just the beginning.
Sorry - I could talk all day about this stuff. Back to the tall guy...
My former BIL was 6'4", rail-thin but strong as a bull. Don't know if he had mechanical advantage with those long limbs or what, but it was impressive.
Wasn't there a study that showed the great majority of presidents were over average height? People tend to trust taller guys.

OK, problem found. From the hands in pockets, to the torn kneed jeans, to the shoes, this outfit screams "BOY" and not "MAN"!The shirt is OK, the jeans have to go, at least get some cowboy-cut decent and un-torn jeans or better yet some khakis, and some sort of shoes that are not "athletic" shoes. I would think even my typical dress-down Birki closed-toe sandals would be an improvement. Hitting the iron and building a bit of muscle on your frame wouldn't hurt anything either IMHO. You don't have to take it into Arnold territory (although look where that got him...) but at least a move in that direction would be good.
