I would recommend you steer clear of others affairs. My mother put her head into some people's affairs, not necessarily a cheating situation, but her notion was that she was doing service, only to be the victim of their vagaries and becoming the common enemy.

I've seen that happen several times. Female friend tells other female friend that her man is cheating...there's an explosive argument and/or a breakup, then after a while they kiss and make up, and somehow it's the first friend's fault. Usually because the guy somehow persuaded the cheated-upon woman that he was innocent and the friend was just jealous or trying to make trouble or something.

I don't recall catching anyone in a compromising position. Though. I *knew* a former friend was cheating on his finance Their relationship eventually fell apart before they were supposed to get married.
