This is a weird thread. That said, people on here need to relax. I wouldn't date a guy who didn't drink either unless he was an alcoholic who had gotten sober or something. I like going out and drinking, having a beer together, going to wine tastings etc and I don't want to do that alone. Although a permanant DD wouldn't be so bad, lol...anyway not everyone who enjoys drinking is some raging violent alcoholic. I can't imagine dinner without wine...they just go together...but to each their own.

Drinking socially is ok, but it really shouldnt be more then a few drinks regularly once or twice a week. Even then long term thats pretty damaging to your body. Substitute your beer drinking with tea or something lol.

I wouldn't date a party animal at my age, but I wouldn't date a tea-totaler, either. I'm a wine snob.
yeah i agree that i am not into someone who will never touch alcohol for any reason, i mean socially it's acceptable., but the way the OP phrased it and often mentions, the guy needs to drink 18 -24 beers a day in order for him to get her number! that is just asking for a drunk IMO...

I didn't mean to say it that way. Guys that don't drink that much are entitled to my # too.
I have female friend who in her early 20s would say she didn't trust anyone who doesn't drink.
I know quite a few people that think that way. If you have had no history of alcoholism or addiction or have no medical problems that would prevent you from drinking, what’s the problem in even having 1 drink, socially?
I don’t think I could be with a guy who doesn’t drink either, I have to admit. I LOVE to party all night long, as often as I can.
I don’t get blind rotten can’t-stand-up drunk, but I have a good time.
