How do you figure? Not everyone is monogamous.

Just go to a college campus. The starting QB for the football team has a rotation of maybe 10 or 20 'girlfriends.' Typical frat boy has maybe 2 or 3 'girlfriends'. Guys in the computer science department have 1 potential girlfriend per every 10 guys.

Do a Google search and type in "Never had a girlfriend" in quotes and do the same with "Never had a boyfriend". Never had a girlfriend gets more results.

Bars and clubs: Anyone who has been to a bar or club in this country knows there are soooo many more dudes compared to single women. I know there are a few exceptions but for the most part you know ur in for a sausage party.

From what ive seen on maps, anything north of san francisco going towards seattle have a high proportion of men than women. The east coast places like nyc, philly boston have alot of females.

Way more. Why? Immigration - legal and illegal. Far more men come in.

I don't know what the US figures are but in Canada, there are 9 million unmarried people between age 20 and 45. Five million men and four million women.

This is a higher discrepancy than they have in China that is supposedly due to female infanticide. Incidentally, among many immigrant communities, the number of male babies is often 20% higher than female. Ultrasound allows this to occur.

Only about 10% of men can pull it off but they can pull it off big time, if they wish. All the women think they are "the one" and are usually completely unaware about what is going on. It is more frequent than you think and ties up much of the available talent.

However, what is more important is that once women have had an experience with such men, most guys are of little or no interest to them. Perhaps when they are approaching 40, they might realize that they have to settle, but they won't be happy about it. Such marriages are about as likely to succeed as between 18 year-olds.

Why is the ratio of never-married men to never-married women at 35 and up skewed? There are always fewer never-married women. The most reasonable explanation is multiple marriages to a guy who is an idiot ... or they are idiots for marrying him. Still, there is an imbalance. You would think that never-marrieds would be there in more or less equal numbers.
