Haha...good for you. Also, crushes are not infantile; they are just human.

LOL. I was worried for a moment because she was directing comments to me like my opinion mattered.

Well I understand your point, but to crush IMO is natural to some degree.

I think also is subconscious, since I'd like a relationship at this time. I guess things come to those who are proactive in getting them, so maybe I should heed my own advice.

Maybe. But to shut it off is, in my opinion, masculine.

Crushing...

Kick them to the curb....

FWB....

ha I read it as literal.

Regarding crushes, they're few & far between for me - I don't think they're infantile.

I'm not a big fan of "pointless"...which is why I've written off the under 25 crowd lol....I need a stated return on investment to everything I do. Blue balls doesn't seem like a positive ROI.... xD

To each their own of course.

I don't think it's infantile, but how you act on it could be. I've got a little crush on a CD member. Heck, I don't know her real name or what she looks like, but I like the way she thinks and writes. I don't day dream about her and have no intention that it'll go any further than it has already, which is just a quiet admiration for a cool gal.

"Crushing" is nothing more than a relatively recent term for "being a fan of". The term was most likely coined by a teen. The behavior is nothing new, nor does it pertain to a particular age group. Can't believe you would actually start a post asking this.

I think these two are entirely different animals.
