Although I surely don't always agree with Samston, I agree with this. I say this from a point of experience. From my teenage years through my early twenties or so, I ALWAYS seemed to be the "victim" of guys who either "just used" me or were "shallow," "uncaring," etc. Eventually I started to ask myself: what's the common denominator?

OTOH, I didn't *stay* with these "bad guys". I dumped...dumped...dumped. I was a serial dumper. But again..what for??? Nobody is THAT stupid that he or she couldn't possibly see a pattern. So the next time I dumped, what I dumped was my victim attitude and the "bad boys" no longer seemed sexy at all. And I mean at all. It was almost weird how that happened.
