Anyone here attending any office/work Christmas parties this year? In house at the workplace or bar/restaurant/hotel?
Our company is too cheap to throw a Christmas party this year. My co-workers and I decided to have a potluck in the office with a little Secret Santa thing.
I'm also going to be having people over from my job. I'm still the newest person in the office and it's a good way to get to know those I work with.
This is about my 16 year old niece. I love her dearly, I spent so much time with her when she was growing up. My sister was too busy working on her personal life and I practically raised her from the time she was 3 to about 6.
Now, she is in NY and I'm here in Florida and this girl doesn't. get off. Facebook. She happens to be my friend there and I see EVERYTHING that's going on! Sexy pictures, guys posting all kinds of raunchy stuff on her wall, fighting with her peers...all out in the open. I spoke to her mother about it with no result, I spoke to her, I didn't want to be a naggy preachy aunt, I just wanted to explain to her the harm she may be causing herself, it's not coming through to her.
Today she posted: "Put a condom on your heart because I'm about to f**k your feelings". Honestly?? Really?? She is 16!!! Vent is over.

At 16, it was probably too late to tell me anything. I thought I was sooo smart and that I knew it all anyway.
