I tried zappos for the first time, and the shoes were sooo beautiful, and I so wanted them to work, but they don't. I knew buying shoes online was like buying a pig in a sack, but there's no decent selection in town.
How was the weather by you today Yellfire??? It was such a gorgeous day today, still cool enough for sweaters and boots, but warm enough to feel comfortable.
Absolutely beautiful. I wore my favorite boots, jeans and a thermal when I went out to feed the horses, and it never got too hot. I usually have to change twice a day at least.

Well, living in Florida has its benefits, that's for sure. I guess you can tell where my priorities are, I would rather make less money and live in this climate. With paradise comes the price.
I used to love riding horses until one threw me off and now I'm terrified.
I know, but most shoes are overpriced because of that. Well, I did see Nordstrom's had the same shoes in a different color marked down to $130... That should've told me something...
It snowed here so much I had to brush down the car today.
Here is a paradox. I miss the snow, cross-country skiing, tubing, throwing snowballs, but the actual freezing weather I don't miss. How can I reconcile that???
Everything is now made in China. Even Ralph Lauren manufactures most of its stuff overseas.
I know... It's disgusting! Many times the ideas are good, the fabrics are great, and everything goes to hell in China! I just don't get the logic... Don't they understand that this ill-fitting crap will be sold at 80% discount at best?! Why not make it good and sell it at a decent price?!

I guess it all comes down to mark-up. In my old company anything that is less than 62% mark-up would be considered a financial loss. So if the factory from China is charging us 30 bucks for a sweater, they would have to sell it for like 70 and unfortunately, people in this country are used to buying LOTS of clothes for cheap price and bad quality instead off buying one good quality item at a time.
It's just cheap labor.
PS: don't quote me on the price, my math is fuzzy today, but you know what I mean.
