Bah Humbug Temp, I'm the same. I'm always happy when the NFL season and Christmas is over and Jan 1 rolls around. Everything seems to go crazy about Nov 15th on and doesn't return to normal till Jan.

Love the season, hate the pressure of all the things that must be done.

One neat note... we did go tonight and see some friends 4 year old daughters dance in the "Nutcracker". Nothing as Christmas as seeing 30 4-6 year olds do ballet.

Yeah, the Christmas cheer is the only thing good about it. The nutcracker and other special events that make you want to sing along and stuff. Until it's 4 weeks into it and there's no end in sight. This year Christmas started before thanksgiving, and it is driving me a little nuts. I wonder if the retailers are taking notice. I doubt it, since the crowds are making it seems like everything's normal. But there comes a moment when people say "enough is enough, we've been celebrating Christmas for over a month now."

Anyway, happy holidays!

There is a house up the street that has one of those 10 ft Snowman that you plug in and fills with air. It flops around waving at people. I was walking the dog tonight and thought about giving that snowman a new bellybutton.

Glad I didn't have a ice pick with me. I'd be in jail for 2nd degree assault of Frosty.

Why so mean, Rakin...? Leave the snowman alone!

Sorry, guys - I'm not even going to ATTEMPT to catch up on this thread tonight. Something about patron saints? Interesting - I'm probably Saint Polatious, patron saint of pole dancers...

Had too many people tonight buy me too many drinks - it's a curse, I tell ya', a curse! - to be popular.

Oh, speaking of a snowman, I plan to shape salad tomorrow as one. If he turns out cute, I'll take a pic and show it to you guys one of these days - to keep the spirit up!

I just noticed that CD posters haven't put up any of their snowman pics. Does anybody have anything in the yard for Christmas?

Nothing quite so cheap looking as a 10ft Frosty in 70 degree weather. Actually, I'm a big softy and love the stuff that goes with Christmas. (Except the shopping)

Oh, well... I have a little snowman on my porch and it's unseasonably warm here - upper 70's and 80's all week - but he's very happy! It's usually cold on Christmas, though.

That's the way cold weather should be, about 5-10 days a year and then it's gone.

We have those snowfalls here where it snows maybe at night, you wake up to a beautiful snowfall and then it's all gone by 2pm that day. That's the way snow should be.

Don't know how people live up north.
