Hawk, Jeannie is adorable! Yesterday a beagle was in the yard, no tags, no collar. Obviously well fed and cared for, though. This is a frequent occurrence out here... someone's dog or lamb or goat, or usually, horse, gets out, and either the owner comes looking or the animal goes home on its own.

So I didn't think much of it. The beagle (I just went ahead and called him Snoopy) just played in the yard with my three. They had a blast. I opened the door for mine to go inside for water and rest, and Snoopy was the first in! He found the water bowls, made quite a mess, and was ready to go. I opened the door again, and he took off.I went to the end of the driveway and watched him run all the way to the end of the road and crawl under a neighbor's gate. Either that's where he lives, or their dogs eat at that time of day!

If you really put an effort into it and write a book, it might sell... It's a niche subject - I don't think too much has been written on it.

Chow, what was going on with you yesterday...? When I got home last night you had killed just about every thread with a 1/2 or 1-liner between 5:30 and 6:30 your time. Were you drunk, or pissed, or both...? I'm not even sure how all the posts made it as they were a minute or two apart.

Hawk, I've read that you often prefer your four-legged companions to the two-legged type (with some exceptions). I'm with ya there. Between the unconditional love and the unadulterated joy in the simplest of things, I think my dogs, horses, birds and fish (yes, even the fish...) have taught me more than school ever did...
