LOL...I think it would be hilarious to lock a teenager or young 20's in a room with a rotary phone with no call waiting so you hear that annoying beep....beep....beep!

I work at a college where it seems like all the students are operating at least three gadgets at once and any given time, and I would pay money to see that. I bet they'd be rocking in the corner banging their heads on the wall after about 15 minutes.

The other day I heard someone on TV reminiscing about rotary phones and how annoying & time consuming it was to dial a number with a lot of zeros.

To this day I don't know how to use call waiting. Getting a 2nd call while on the phone is something extremely rare for me, but I've heard it beeping a few times. I just let it beep...

I just took a bad spill down the front stoop about an hour ago. I got up, crawled to the couch and passed out. My father called my mom, totally freaked out, so my mom came home and wants me to go to the clinic because I'm banged up pretty badly on both ankles, but I want to wait and see how it goes tomorrow. Meanwhile, RICE for both ankles, scrubbed the wound on my knee (had dirt and leaves in it), have antibiotic ointment, and I'm stuck in bed, shivering from the icepacks.

I've always thought call waiting was extremely rude. Like, you're having a conversation with someone, and you're supposed to say, "Oh, wait, there might be someone else I'd rather talk to on the other line"? No thanks.
