If you were on a date and got asked if your job paid you enough to cover all your bills, how would you respond?
I just looked at her like she was crazy. I couldnt believe it. My job pays ok.(I work in an entry-level position at one of the Big 4 Banks) People tell me I look well off,but I'm 24 and living at home, so I have to disagree....anyway...how would have you responded to that?

i'm 23 and at home. the economy's tough these days... and i'm not going to be scraping for food somewhere while trying to find a job. lucky to have parents help. you are lucky as well
as long as you plan to move out and be independent eventually, i wouldn't care. some girls would i suppose. but isn't dating about finding someone who will accept you for who you are, as you are, anyway?

I would have said "no, actually, I can't cover my expenses so I thought you could cover the cost of dinner!"
This girl sounds very rude and I doubt I would have a second date with someone who asks questions like that.

If I was asked that on a DATE? Lol! I would have chuckled and politely pardoned myself to end the date, which I hope you did and have no plans to continue communications with her.

I might have said
"yes of course, but if one day I can't, can you give me a cash advance with no finance charge?. then i can pay my Con Ed bill AND the minimum payment on my VISA..."

Of course it does. But I wouldn't expect too many dinners out.
