Felix, what the fudge is your problem? You googled "a show" to find an answer? For crying out loud, stop mucking about and solve the problem in the very old fashioned way, i.e. text her back and simply say, "Yes, I'm looking forward to meeting you and Friday works for me. What show were you thinking about?" Has basic communication really disintegrated to this base level? Good luck!
You're right. I could just ask. Just didn't feel like calling/texting her, but I will.
I also wanted to get a sort of survey about the word "show" because I've heard it occasionally and wondered. It hasn't been used in my immediate social circle.
Dang kid! What are you going to do if she asks you to "dial" a phone?
To the several of you who are asking why we were texting... She was at work and has a long commute. That takes into account 12 hours of her day. It was either text or nothing.
If/when I know she is free to talk on the phone I will call.
To me a "show" is a play but then again I live in the UK. Though admitedly not many people do go the theatre nowadays ( I am one of those oddballs).
Surely the best thing is simply to ask the young Lady in question ? Direct, to the point and a few seconds later the problem is solved and the question answered...

When they get to the show, they can text people telling them what show they're at and do some texting during the show.
I hate it when that happens. Not only does it keep you from enjoying the show but it disturbs people seated nearby too.
