Amazing. I had no idea this was still going on until I got a rep point. Been too busy getting out and actually meeting people instead of using Internet dating sites--works much better for me and definitely more fun!

I recently met a pretty awesome woman via a free on-line dating site. She lives near me, goes to the same grocery store etc. for about two years or so....right under each others noses so to speak. (Granted I've only been dating again for 2 months or so now)
I've met a few others that were decent too.
Anyway, goes to show how for busy people with kids and a job etc. that these things CAN work.

That's great that you have been able to do that. Many of us DO get out...and have lots of interaction with plenty of folks, simply in the course of our daily routines, but really don't have the time to spend socializing to try and meet others. For those people, online dating sites work great. I've had much success, so I have to give them a thumbs up!  |

Dating sites are a total waste of time. I tried them a few years back, never worked for me. No matter how honest you are and try to make yourself known, you never get any responses. And, I dont like the idea of having to pay to find someone...its ludicrous.
Unfortunately for me though I don't do well in the social scene because of my shyness, and, I don't feel I would attract anyone anyway. And because of my line of work (semi driver) there's no time to go out anywhere to meet people anyway because I am too tired to do so (those who drive trucks for a living will understand). So I just decide to remain single and enjoy the best of it.

i met my wife on yahoo personals. I tried bars, clubs, and grocery stores. They all felt wrong and alien, except yahoo.
