I agree with you.
Maybe we can have a new sub-forum where people can meet and date.If you really want to have a mate,you can start a thread by introducing yourself and those who interested in you can contact you.
In this way,we can do more than match.com without paying extra money.
craigslist may be the only website I recommend.
math.com only wants to make money. |

Dating?
5 years ago, first thing I tried was the personals in the local newspaper...I met a lot of fellas, 3 really nice men, but we didn't have two much in common....One was a professor, the other was a very nice intellectual...and the other was a mental health doctor. I was crazy for not following thru with one of the to explore more...we met, and I was just not interested. From there it was downhill
Met what I thought was a very nice man who looked like Kenny Rogers...we had a lovely dinner, went to a movie, when he walked me out to my car...he started kissing me and wouldn't stop...he was, to say the least all over me...that one went home singing suprano 
Paid a lot of money to join a privet dating agencie who claimed they were on the up and up....boy oh boy, the men I met there made me depressed  They claimed to do a background check...they didn't, one man was married.
I also used Match.com...and met a doosy...he brought along a portfolio...didn't look at all like his picture and while having coffee, asked me to marry him???????????? 
I dated two fellas in that time, both were players.... 
So, I quit dating.
Now, I have heard some very nice stories, but to tell you the truth, I've even heard some pretty frightening stories from men.
I believe it's luck...and persistence and looking at it as dating, meeting people with no expectations....and letting it all hang out, b/c when your older, it seems easier to be oneself, doesn't it?

Ok, you all got to me! LOL! I last went onto Match.com about 3 years ago because I was told that one of my employees had a profile on there that was "interesting" and that I should check it out. So, I go and check out the employee on the M4M site. Of course, curiosity got the better of me so I did a search of availables with my preferences in place. Was a wonderful exercise as it made me appreciate what I have here at home. Fast forward to this thread, I read it and think hmmm, I think I will go look at match.com again. I go, put my preferences in and WALLAH! At least FIVE of the profiles that pop up are the exact same people with the exact same pictures and profiles as three years ago!!!! What are the chances? And, oh, of course, these are the better looking, professionally accomplished profiles too I might add. Something fishy going on for sure!!!  |

I just waded thru 69 pages on the post your pics thread and still no picture of DCNative! I was looking for you too Creme. Did I miss it? It was fun seeing the pictures but whoa, 69 pages. My computer was jumping around and now I can't see anymore. Good thing my son and his girlfriend are coming down and we're going bicycling. I've got computer eyes  |
