I wrote to someone on craigslist because he had such an unusual ad but never met him--too far away--he was a good writer and although I knew I wouldn't meet him I wanted to tell him I liked his writing. I agree - it is mostly very strange scary people. There is a good movie-- 24 Hours On Craigslist. See it and you probably won't want to try it for meeting someone.
