My poor jasmine was tricked into almost blooming (you could see the buds). I knew those 80's were abnormal in Jan, even for here, and Feb is always crappy more or less. Now it probably won't bloom ...

Here's the scoop on the storm heading our way.

Midwest, Plains brace for massive storm | The Indianapolis Star | IndyStar.com

A monster winter storm bigger than some Midwest cities have seen in years slogged toward the nation’s midsection today as the region geared up its defenses against a potentially deadly mix of sleet, snow and ice.

Up to two feet of snow was forecast for some cities, and the storm was expected to carve a frigid path from Denver to New England by week’s end. Thunderstorms and tornadoes were possible further south.

Yeah, here in Pennsy we'll get sloppy seconds from you guys. We're probably not even opening tonight, because the 2" we've already got is freezing up, only to be followed by a few more inches and then sleet and freezing rain tonight.

Yay winter.

Always in February do we get the bad storms and it's February first today.
